JEDI’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Programs empower Indigenous learners in New Brunswick with the skills and experience needed to succeed in today’s fast-growing digital economy. Developed in partnership with Collège Communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) and leading industry employers, these programs provide practical, career-focused training that leads directly to employment opportunities.
Since 2012, JEDI’s Advanced Indigenous Information & Communication Technology (AIICT) initiative has been preparing Indigenous learners for meaningful careers in technology. The program offers a fully funded, multi-tiered learning pathway that blends classroom and virtual instruction with paid, hands-on work experience.
JEDI/CCNB Diploma
This 2-Year, 3-Tiered fully funded training program for New Brunswick Indigenous Students will include in-person and virtual classes.

Program Tiers
Tier 1: Information Technology Helpdesk Analyst
Duration: 14 weeks training + 4-week paid internship
This introductory program builds foundational IT skills in system setup, troubleshooting, and basic network support. Students gain hands-on experience with hardware, software, and operating systems, primarily focusing on Microsoft/Windows environments, with exposure to macOS and Linux.
Participants also develop essential workplace skills, including:
Understanding standard operating procedures
Technical documentation practices
Basic cybersecurity awareness
Professional workplace readiness
Career Pathways:
Helpdesk Technician, IT Support Specialist, Call Centre Technician
Tier 2: IT Analyst (Operating Systems, Networking, Scripting)
Duration: 24 weeks training + 12-week paid internship
This intermediate program expands into advanced system configuration and enterprise environments. Students learn to deploy, manage, and maintain servers and network infrastructure while strengthening their skills in networking and scripting.
Key learning areas include:
Server deployment and maintenance
Network configuration and security
Enterprise IT support practices
Linux systems and administration
Building and managing demonstration networks
Career Pathways:
Network Administrator, Systems Analyst, Junior Programmer
Tier 3: Advanced Programming & Cybersecurity
Duration: 30 weeks training + 16-week paid internship
This advanced program focuses on cybersecurity, system auditing, and secure software development. Students explore real-world security challenges by simulating both attacker and defender roles in controlled environments.

Ethical hacking and penetration testing
Security auditing and compliance
