Labour Market Information Initiative

The Labour Market Information (LMI) Initiative at JEDI:

  • Identifies the skills gap amongst the Indigenous population of New Brunswick;

  • Conducts research within the Indigenous population on and off-reserve to identify skills of the Indigenous population;

  • Explores Capacity Development options;

  • Partners with the Atlantic Provinces Economic Council (APEC) to identify Indigenous businesses and entrepreneurs in the Atlantic Provinces;

  • Partners with the University of New Brunswick on Rural Action and Voices for the Environment (RAVEN) to explore the use of alternative digital media in protecting and sustaining rural environments.
