The Provincial Indigenous Employment Coordinator (PIEC) helps to coordinate employment services for Indigenous Peoples in New Brunswick by working with the Employment and Training Officers in each First Nation community in NB.

The PIEC coordinates the Indigenous Reconciliation Employer Action Plan, which addresses barriers to employment by educating employers in New Brunswick on reconciliation and how they can create diverse, inclusive, and welcoming workplaces.

The PIEC also administers the Aboriginal Employment Services Initiative committee and coordinates JEDI’s Indigenous Internship program.
