JEDI is now accepting applications for two $1000 bursaries that will be awarded to two Aboriginal students enrolled in post-secondary education.
Brun-Way Highway Operations Inc., in partnership with JEDI, has been awarding two $1000 bursaries yearly to New Brunswick Aboriginal post-secondary students since 2009. In previous years, only students in the fields of business, engineering or related fields have been eligible to apply, however this year, applications for the bursaries have been opened up to all students enrolled in post-secondary education.
DETAILS:
The Brun-Way/JEDI Bursary Program is open to all New Brunswick First Nations’ post-secondary students. It is our hope that this bursary will support Aboriginal students in accomplishing their future endeavors.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Full time Aboriginal student
- Residing in New Brunswick
- Proof of studies at a post-secondary institution. (Preference may be given to those enrolled in University Degree programs, due to the depth of commitment and expense involved.)
- In 500-1000 words, the applicant is to write an essay illustrating their need, objectives, future goals and aspirations, their commitment to education, and their desire to help NB First Nations’ communities thrive
- A copy of the applicant’s resume

Please submit your completed application, resume and essay to the JEDI office by November 30th, 2014.
A selection committee will review applications and a final award of the bursary will be issued in December 2014.
Brun-Way Highway Operations Inc. (Brun-Way) is responsible for the operation, maintenance and rehabilitation of 275 kilometers of highway from the Quebec Border to west of Fredericton, and between Woodstock and the US border, until 2033.
