Atlantic Economic Reconciliation Leadership Summit

  • Atlantica Hotel Halifax 1980 Robie Street Halifax, NS, B3H 3G5 Canada (map)

Event Description:

The Joint Economic Development Initiative, the Atlantic Policy Congress of First Nations Chiefs Secretariat, Ulnooweg Development Group, Inc., the Wolastoqey Nation in New Brunswick, Mi'gmawe'l Tplu'taqnn Inc., the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, and Indigenous Services Canada’s Atlantic Regional Office invite you to the Atlantic Economic Reconciliation Leadership Summit.

Summit Overview:

This Summit will convene First Nations and Inuit leadership from across the Atlantic region for a day and a half of facilitated discussions about what Economic Reconciliation means in Atlantic Canada and how we can collectively move forward to achieve that vision. Our hope is that through this Summit, we can come to a shared understanding of what this concept means for Indigenous communities in Atlantic Canada, while identifying goals and objectives to be actioned over the short, medium, and long terms.

In addition to your active participation in this discussion, senior representatives from regional Indigenous organizations and Federal government departments are being invited as observers to directly hear your deliberations. This is the first step for a new collective dialogue in the region, and these observers will be important partners for moving forward.

Be part of this important conversation and contribute to shaping the future of Economic Reconciliation in Atlantic Canada.
