Indigenous Business Definition and Verification Protocols

Proposal Objective

The Government of New Brunswick has approached JEDI to develop a region-specific definition and verification protocol for Indigenous businesses in New Brunswick using JEDI’s existing Indigenous Business Directory as a foundation. The business definition and verification process is intended to improve economic outcomes for Indigenous Peoples in New Brunswick by ensuring engagement of business relationships with legitimate Indigenous owned and operated businesses. The intention is to create a consistent and coordinated approach to supporting Indigenous business procurement participation.
