Are you an Indigenous university graduate who is unemployed or underemployed? The Joint Economic Development Initiative (JEDI) is currently recruiting for our Indigenous Internship Program. All submissions to the program will be placed into a pool of applicants for employers to review. Applicants who meet the criteria of job openings will be contacted for interviews.
JEDI’s Indigenous Internship Program (IIP) provides recent university graduates with an opportunity to gain meaningful work skills, knowledge and experience while employed in the fields of:
- Economic Development
- Arts and Tourism
- Information Communications Technology
- Energy and Natural Resources
- Shipbuilding
Eligibility:
To be eligible for the program, you must be of Indigenous descent and have completed a university degree. University degrees should be related to Economic Development, Arts & Tourism, Information Communications Technology, Energy & Natural Resources, Shipbuilding or Business/Administration. All interns must be eligible to work in Canada. Preference will be given to university graduates who have graduated in the last three years and who are unemployed or underemployed.

A pool of applications will be accepted until January 13th, 2017 for the 2016-2017 Internship program.
Please Note: any applications received after January 13th will be kept on file for future Internship programs starting in 2017-2018. In order to be considered for openings during this fiscal year, you must meet the January 13th, 2017 deadline.
