On November 14-16, 2014, Fredericton, NB will be hosting a Startup Weekend (Global Start-Up Battle) for up-and-coming entrepreneurs. It is part of the Global Start-up Battle held in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship week that runs from Nov 17 – 23th.
Startup Weekend is a crash-course in learning how to start your own business. In 54 hours, would-be entrepreneurs can learn the basics of starting a company and taking it through to a successful launch.
The fast-paced weekend consists of:
- idea pitches
- brainstorming
- business plan development
- designing
- building basic prototypes
- final presentations
The weekends bring together hopeful entrepreneurs and pair them with mentors, industry leaders, successful entrepreneurs, and other like-minded individuals. The environment is perfect for those with the next hot idea to hit the ground running.
