The Government of New Brunswick is offering scholarships to support women and men who are pursuing non-traditional careers at New Brunswick colleges. “Non-traditional” careers are defined as any occupation where women or men make up less than 25% of the total workforce.
Yearly scholarships are available, up to $2500/ year. Scholarships will be presented as a financial credit payable toward tuition fees.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You are a resident of New Brunswick
- You are continuing your education and/or returning to school as a mature student
- You have been accepted (or wait-listed) into an eligible program of study
- You have answered the following four questions and have completed the application form:
- Explain why you have chosen this non-traditional field of study and describe your future career plans in NB
- What motivated you to make your decision to study a non-traditional career and what steps have you taken to move forward with this decision?
- In your own words, define non-traditional career and explain how women and men entering non-traditional careers will help address the wage gap in NB
- Explain how you are paying for your studies and how this scholarship will help you financially

All applications must be submitted no later than June 30 for fall sessions and November 30 for winter sessions.
