Free Online Training for People in NB

The provincial government is investing $800,000 over two years in SkillsNB, a new eLearning platform. These free, online courses will allow New Brunswickers to invest in their own future and skills, anywhere and anytime.

“These online resources will provide training and up-skilling, while complementing existing education and post-secondary education efforts to help people reach their career goals,” said Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour Minister Jody Carr. “This investment is further proof of our focus on people, skills and jobs to help build a stronger New Brunswick for generations to come.”

The courses offered currently cover Desktop Computing, Java Programming, Project Management, Sales, and Customer Service. The courses are divided into lessons with each lesson taking from 15 minutes - 1 hour to complete. The courses are available to anybody currently residing in New Brunswick and do not require prior education or work experience.

Upon completion of courses, users can print out a Certificate of Completion or a report of all courses accessed. This information can then be included in a portfolio or on a resume.
