JEDI’s 2nd Annual Pow Wow Photo Contest is Starting Soon

Get your cameras ready, Pow Wow season is starting in New Brunswick and we want to see your photos. Last year’s contest was a big success and we want to get even more Pow Wow photos this year. We love all of the pictures, from the kids posing in their colourful regalia to the many jingle and shawl dancers who bring their energy to the Pow Wows. All of the images that you send us show the rich culture of the Aboriginal people living in New Brunswick and JEDI wants to share them with our followers.

JEDI’s Pow Wow Photo contest will be divided into 10 sub-contests; each one corresponding to a First Nation Pow Wow in NB. That means the first contest starts on June 12 in St. Mary’s First Nation and the last contest ends on Sept. 20 in Kingsclear First Nation. Stay tuned to the JEDI blog for details on each sub-contest.

Brief Overview:

Each sub-contest will run for 6 days. During those 6 days, anyone who would like to enter should submit photos or short videos (no longer than 2 minutes) to JEDI at https://www.facebook.com/JEDINB or contests@jedinb.ca to be entered to win a $50 gift card to a local business. Each photo or video is worth one submission.

At the end of the Pow Wow trail we will award a grand prize valued at $500 to one of the submissions from any of the 10 contests. Last year’s grand prize was a basket filled with gift certificates and an ACER tablet. We’ll have more details on this year’s grand prize very soon.
