The Joint Economic Development Initiative (JEDI) is happy to announce that our 5th Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament was a huge success! The tournament was held on August 30th at the Kingswood Resort in Fredericton, NB.
JEDI’s Golf Tournament raises money for the JEDI Community Fund which allows JEDI to assist communities with financial requests that fall outside of our mandate. Some Indigenous-led initiatives we’ve supported in the past include Community Pow-Wows, First Nation school initiatives, Wolastoqiyik Treaty Day and Wolastoqiyik Sisters in Spirit.
Our attendees were a diverse group including Chiefs, band councillors, ETOs, EDOs, members from various communities, Indigenous entrepreneurs, JEDI staff, and people from government and industry. Participants enjoyed a delicious dinner, goodie bags and a fun-filled day of golf and other fun games including wheel of fortune, a marshmallow drive, a putting contest and many more!
Congratulations to the winners of the tournament!
1st place was the Restigouche Drive-In
2nd place was the First Nations Education Initiative Incorporated (FNEII)
3rd place was Miramichi Plumbing and Drain Cleaning
JEDI would like to extend a sincere thank you to the generous prize donors, team participants and our amazing sponsors for their support in making this year’s tournament the biggest success yet.
