One of the roles of JEDI’s Business Liaison is working with employers and communities to bring employment opportunities to First Nation community members and Indigenous job seekers who live outside of their communities.

As the Business Liaison, I am able to assist employers who wish to get acquainted with our First Nations communities in New Brunswick. The Business Liaison can assist with introductions to community Employment and Training Officers as well as the planning and execution of information sessions, career fairs, and hiring pilots both on and off-reserve.

Don’t have time to plan an event, but still want to engage with the Indigenous workforce? Well, if you have 15 minutes, we can plan a Facebook Live session! It simply involves sitting in front of a JEDI camera and describing the opportunities within your organization. We have held a few livestream events in the past and they have been successful, with increases in applications, lots of shares and hundreds of views!

If you represent an employer who wishes to connect with First Nations communities regarding your hiring needs, please contact the Business Liaison, Riley Patles, at riley.patles@jedinb.ca or 506-444-5650.
