The FIFA Women’s World Cup is coming to Canada! It is the biggest soccer tournament in the world for women, and the largest sporting event to be hosted in Canada since the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver. One of the venues for this exciting event is Moncton, NB. In fact, Moncton is the only venue hosting the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Atlantic Canada.
Stadium Passports and Stadium Half Passes for this event are now on sale and individual tickets will go on sale on February 6th for VISA card holders and on February 26th for the general public. Prices for the Moncton matches range from $20.15 - $80.
Moncton is hosting 7 matches from June 9 - 21, 2015, and will feature teams from France, England, Mexico, Colombia, Côte d’Ivoire, Norway, Brazil, Costa Rica, and two more countries for the round of 16 match on June 21st.
If you would like to get involved in ways other than buying tickets, the event is looking for hundreds of volunteers to help put on the most successful World Cup ever. Volunteers must be over the age of 16 and provide their own transportation to and from the venue. Volunteering is a great way to help out your community, learn some new skills, and to meet new people in a fun and exciting environment. People interested in volunteering are asked to call the event Volunteer Manager at 506.853.7674 X4708. There is an online application and an interview is required. Volunteers are asked to be available for all match days if possible.
