The New Brunswick Teen Apprenticeship Program (NBTAP) is now accepting applications from all Grade 10 students in NB.
NBTAP is a 3 year pre-apprentice program that is only open to Grade 10 students. Students who are accepted into the program will begin to learn a skilled trade with a participating NBTAP employer in their local area. Potential placements for your area are listed on the NBTAP website.
NBTAP includes 3 paid summer work terms to be completed after grades 10, 11 and 12. The program also includes available high school trades course electives.
Any Aboriginal Grade 10 students who have an interest in hands-on learning and who would like to pursue a career in the trades should apply for this program. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2015.
To apply, go to NBTAP.ca to register and fill out an application form.
